Un court-métrage Franco-Indo-Japonais avec un photographe, un policier et quelques fantômes…

Written within a few weeks, 16 hours of shooting (with my co-director Shivanand A.), 16 hours of editing and sound making, THE DARK ROOM is my first screenplay writing and film direction attempt.

Ecrit en quelques semaines, tourné en 16 heures (avec mon co-réalisateur Shivanand A.), monté et mixé en autant de temps, THE DARK ROOM est mon premier “passage à l’acte” en therme de rédaction de scénario, ainsi qu’en matière de réalisation.

Synopsis

November 26 2008, Mumbai, A policeman fights against a group of terrorists. Stuck with two victims he sacrifices himself to rescue them. Nayan Vishwas, photographer, witnesses the scene and gets the most amazing report of his career.
6 months later, Nayan gets the prestigious Ramnath Goenka Special Jury Award for his breathtaking coverage of this tragic event. Very proud of this major breakthrough, Nayan really enjoys his new “star reporter” status… Until he finds himslef locked up in his own appartment, forced to deal with the ghost of the dead policeman.

Bombay, le 26 novembre 2008, un policier se bât contre un groupe de terroristes. Bloqué au coin d’une rue avec deux victimes, il se sacrifie pour leur permettre de s’échapper. Caché non loin de là, un photo-reporter - Nayan Vishwas, photographie toute la scène et réalise le meilleur reportage de sa carrière.
6 mois plus tard, Nayan obtient le Prix Spécial du Jury lors de la prestigieuse Ramnath Goenka Press Award Ceremony pour son spéctaculaire reportage. Nayan devient alors le photo-reporter le plus en vue de la communauté journalistque indienne, et il en est fier… Jusqu’à ce qu’il se retrouve enfermé chez lui, forcé de faire face au fantôme du policier mort devant son objectif.
